As people our identities are ever changing and our styles as well.          How can we facilitate this need for change With my garment i have worked to create a silhouette that can do exactly that.
At the textile museum of Tillburg, I worked with passementerie, using a traditional practice called “gimpen”. With these ropes, I looked for harmony
and customisability.
From long to short and from slim to voluptuous. By arranging the ropes in different ways the wearer can create their own look. This garment becomes an
extension of the body. A second skin.
