How to hide the silhouette of a foot

?

For this project i have taken my main insporation from the anatomy of an elephants foot is my main inspiration while tackling this question. The foot of an elephant creates a lot of mass around the bone with cartilage which makes the foot appear bigger than it actually is.
The actual bone structure is similar to that of a human.

I mimicked this padded elefants foot in the tarsus shoe.

I started with a leather shoe and create a mold for the base. Then I pored foam into the mold submerging the lower half of the shoe in liquid foam (the foam attaches itself to the leather surface) after that i sculpted loose pieces of foam into the right shape and covered these structures with a stretchy black textile to create a slick and unrecognizable silhouette.
